I have an ASUS router: RT-AC87U with an USB memory stick I use as a file server for Sonos music etc. Usually I can just connect to it from my Windows 7 or windows 10 PC, using something like: net use n: \\192.168.7.1\CD_org and then transfer files to / from the ASUS routers USB memory stick.
