I've thought about this a bit because it would be really nice for my dev setup, and think this might be possible if: you created a virtual network with a IP address for each hostname you wanted to map, set up local DNS to point each hostname at their virtual network IP, then had little services listening to the protocol's default port on each of those IPs that knew what real port they needed
